A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Dear God,

Thank you for…everything.

Life, health, family and friends, justice for evil, peace and purpose.

You are Jehovah-jireh, the Lord who provides.

You owe me nothing. Yet You gave…everything.

And I am so grateful!

Thank you that You are a Father to the fatherless and near to the brokenhearted. Thank you that even in the midst of wars and rumors of wars, You are still in control. You are still God.

You, El Roi, still see everything. Jehovah-shammah, You are the God who is still there. You have not gone deaf or blind to Your children’s cry. You are not a God who wastes pain or ignores trouble.

Thank you that this isn’t the end. Thank you for the promise of future restoration and Your kingdom coming. Thank you for still holding tomorrow secure in Your hand and being a safe refuge.

I love you, Lord, both now and forever.

In Jesus’s name I pray,

Amen
