Happy International Typewriter Day!

Upon scrolling on Facebook tonight, I learned that today is International Typewriter Day!

So, to celebrate, I wrote an ode—a thank you letter if you will—to my Maya, my 1961 Underwood 18 manual typewriter. I’ve had her for almost a year—even though it feels like so much longer!—and I’ve grown as a writer and person while having her.
