I had a conversation with my friend a few weeks ago in which I told her about a ministry idea I had: using Maya (my typewriter) to write letters to people in the church (or outside of church) who need encouragement and hope. I was excited but then the reality of unemployment and stress of depression started to hit hard and I cried out to God (and my friend) “God, why’d You give me the gift of writing if I wasn’t gonna use it?! How do I give out to others when I’m empty??”
Today, I think I’m beginning to find an answer. 🙂 (Technical writing and the typewriter meet again! 😎)
I wrote a how-to guide! (I incorporated HTML elements in the guide for good practice 😁)

My friend gave me some names and addresses of people in our church who could use hope and encouragement, so I’m spending today writing letters and mailing them out.
The guide’s not complete. What additional steps would you add to the guide? How do you keep pouring out and giving of yourself when you feel like you have nothing left to give? Let’s discuss in the comments!! 👇
